Sassy Red Lips in the Workplace

Red lips in the work place. Is this a "do" or a big fat "DON'T"?

My answer is DO. Why?

The Work Place Has Changed

These days more is acceptable when it comes to expression in the workplace. Discrimination is out the door like yesterday and the straight lace methods are long gone.

My Science Behind it...

Red lips for me are my earrings. Red lips are my little extra pop to my lite "work" make-up. Red lips are my graduation from just plain ole nude lip gloss to noticeable co-lour.

DO Wear Red Lips If:

- You are wearing subtle earrings, studs, or even no earrings.
- You have the confidence to wear it
- It compliments your clothing
- It's the RIGHT Red for you

DON'T Wear Red Lips If:

- You look like a clown
- Your foundation  and eye shadow is too heavy
- It doesn't compliment you
- You don't have the confidence to wear it

* Remember you're still at work and you want to be taken seriously in any office setting.

Don't get Fired!

If you know that your job is conservative then don't get yourself fired because you want to get sassy. Other than that get colorful!

Start with a nice red pencil (not too bright, try a darker red but not "evening out" dark)  and line your lips. Lightly fill them in with the pencil. From here you can either lightly apply red lipstick or chap stick for moisture. This will give you a HOT Vogue magazine model look. Or add just a few dabs of red or clear gloss to make it shiney. Either way it's sure to be fab!
